This course builds the negotiation and conflict-resolution skills essential to strategic leadership. It covers negotiation strategies and tactics — the stages of effective negotiation, distributive versus integrative and multi-party approaches, key frameworks (BATNA, ZOPA, principled negotiation), and the ethical and cultural dimensions of deal-making. It then addresses conflict management in business — the sources and types of workplace conflict, conflict-handling styles, and techniques for resolving disputes constructively. It closes with case studies on effective negotiations, drawing practical lessons from real business deals and disputes.
